BodyTrek! Multimedia Theater
Denver Museum of Nature and Science, Denver.
BodyTrek! is an award winning theatre within the new Expedition Health Gallery at the Denver Museum of Nature and Science. During the 15-minute show the audience embarks on a journey up Mount Evans with their guide, Teal, who explains how her body reacts to the challenges of elevation and changing environments. The theatre includes a huge double-wide HD projection screen, biometric sensors in the audience's seats, a moving LCD screen that "scans" a body to reveal the anatomy and systems within, a live Infra Red camera, and a number of environmental effects including snow that falls on the audience. |

Club Genome: Multimedia Theatre & Student Lab

Welcome to Club Genome! A rhythmic, pulsating, and lively club where music and light blend with science in an exploration of the new world of genomics to show how it is leading to a revolution is medicine. Show Communications developed, scripted, designed, and directed this project for our colleagues at Science North. The theatre is a multi-use space as well as an automated show, allowing for school groups to participate in workshops and for public lectures to be given by scientists and doctors. |

Otis' Adventure: Multimedia Theatre
The Philadelphia Zoo, Philadelphia
Otis' Adventure is a new multiscreen special effects show at the new McNeil Avian Center at the Philadelphia Zoo. Using multiple screens, objects and lighting effects, the show takes the audience on an animated adventure with an oriole named Otis on his first migration through the Delaware Valley. During the journey he encounters other migrating birds, suffers setbacks and ultimately discovers his innate bird-powers that allow him to migrate all the way to Central America. We were happy to be a part of this show, supplying creative direction and scripting. |

8 interactive multimedia touchscreenallow visitors to explore a range of topics on dinosaurs and the science behind our understanding of past life. Blending high impact video with fun and engaging games, these kiosks are a highlight of the CMN’s New Fossil Gallery. Show Communications was contracted to design the visitors’ experience, produce the media components and screen text, and to oversee their final programming by Magian Design Studio.

Lynches River Stories: Multimedia Touchscreen

Show Communications was initially contracted as a consultant and writer for the master planning stage of this great local initiative. When the project quickly moved from conception into reality (thanks to the fantastic energy of local volunteers!), Show Communications produced Lynches River Stories, an interactive touch screen exhibit that allows visitors to watch colourful local stories about life on and around the Lynches River, from colonial times to the present. We also produced historical interpretive panels for the exhibit. |

Star Wars: Robot Debate - Object Theater

Show Communications was hired by the Science Museum of Minnesota to provide direction, scripting and media design for a new object theater being created for the Boston Science Museum's Traveling Exhibit "Star Wars". This was an exciting project involving MIT Media Labs, Lucas Film, as well as the talents of Dr. Cynthia Breazeal and Anthony Daniels as C3PO who debate the achievements of modern robotics from within a Sand Crawler! |

An 8-minute multimedia show about the incredible engineering of the world's first and only supersonic passenger jet. The story is told through images and video projected on the Concorde itself. Show Communications was also contracted to create an on-board video that recounts the glamour and excitement of being a passenger on the Concorde. |

Awakening of the Temple – Lobby Show & Theater Pre Show

Show Communications worked on two multimedia shows for the new Aztec on the River Theater in San Antonio, Texas. The "Awakening of the Temple” Lobby Show is a multimedia extravaganza taking place in the restored lobby of a 1920's palace theater. Among the highlights is a 12 foot animatronic Quetzalcoatl serpent that rises up through the floor! The second project is a Pepper's Ghost theatre within a restored original mechanical room of the theater. The lobby show has been awarded a THEA award for Best Attraction on a Limited Budget. |

Show Communications was hired to script a story that would tell the tale of how a neglected and polluted creek in an industrial town was restored to health by a city famous for its re-greening projects. As someone who used to live right next to the creek, it was an honour to be asked to write this script.

Show Communications worked on developing and scripting an educational film about modern sustainability practices in mining. A film produced by Science North, the story moves between modern mines around the world, from Indonesia, to Chile, to Ghana, exploring the unique local challenges of integrating a mine into the local culture, economy, and environment. Shot in stunning 4K video. During this project, Show Communications was also contracted to produce a 30-minute video about the health effects of shift work. |

Extinction!

Extinction is a signature experience in the new Fossil gallery at the Canadian Museum of Nature. The show recreates the last day of the Cretaceous period through lighting, effects, 3 dimensional set pieces, and state of the art 3D animation. Climate Change Show - Object Theatre

Science Centre.
This show began as an Object Theatre featuring Canada's Rick Mercer as a talking sheep in rubber boots! It was such a success that it was turned into a traveling exhibit and a DVD for the Government of Canada, and has been installed permanently in Glasgow, Singapore, Connecticut, California and Helsinki. Lowell Cochrane had been writer, director and producer of the Climate Change Object Theatre while at Science North, so when the show needed to be recast in new formats Show Communications was contracted for writing and directing services. The exhibit has won numerous awards including Best Exhibit from the Canadian Association of Science Centres. |

Nickel
City Stories – Object Theatre
Dynamic Earth, Sudbury.
Nickel City Stories is an object theatre about the heritage, people, and dreams of Canada’s city of Nickel, Sudbury. For those of you who don’t know, Sudbury is a world famous mining city, and an all around great place to live. The show takes place inside The Generations Barber Shop where visitors meet Louie, the barber and curator of local oral history. His shop is filled with all sorts of artifacts, memorabilia and a few surprises. What makes this object theatre unique is its use of a “Pepper’s Ghost Effect”. Show Communications provided scripting and directing services for this project. |

The
Chasm Show
Dynamic Earth, Sudbury.
As the name implies, The Chasm Show
takes place inside a big rock chasm, 100 feet across and 70 feet deep.
The audience stands in a giant glass elevator where they ascend above the chasm as though into deep
space, before they descend into the chasm itself and experience a media
extravaganza. The show describes the unique geology that created the Sudbury basin and how this has shaped the lives of those who make Sudbury their home. |

life the amazing story of how the “Sudbury Basin” was formed
and the connection between the human history of Sudbury and its unique
